中文摘要: 中纬和低纬赤道区电离层暴的驱动主要源自极区,是耦合的磁层-电离层-热层系统对剧烈的太阳风暴响应的综合结果。高纬磁层与低纬赤道电离层的电动力学耦合和源于极区的热层大气扰动及其与电离层的动力学耦合,对中低纬电离层暴的形成与演化至关重要。本项目拟利用收集的各种电离层参量的星载设备测量数据和地基台网观测数据,以电离层暴特征的统计分析为基础、天基电离层-等离子体层CT和电离层暴数值模拟为手段,研究中低纬电离层暴的形态学特征以及高-低纬电动力学/动力学耦合对中低纬电离层暴的形成与演化的驱动作用。拟解决的科学问题是:1)电离层暴形态学特征的共性规律;2)源于极区的驱动源对中低纬电离层暴生成与演化的影响;3)暴的不同发展阶段,各驱动源的相对重要性;4)暴时低纬赤道区从顶部F层至等离子体层的局地离子增强及其成因。研究结果对深化电离层暴特征及其驱动机制的认识有重要科学意义,对灾害性空间天气预测有潜在应用价值。

英文摘要: The driver of ionospheric storms in mid- and low-equatorial region is from the polar region and is synthesis results of response of the coupling thermosphere-ionosphere-magnetosphere system to blazing solar wind. The electrodynamic coupling between high latitude magnetosphere and low latitude ionosphere and thermospheric disturbances and their dynamic coupling with the ionosphere are very important for the form and evolvement of low-mid ionospheric storms. The proposal will use measurements of different ionospheric parameters based on the sky and the ground and make the statistical analysis of ionospheric storms. The proposal also will investigate morphologic features of low-mid latitude ionospheric storms and driving effect of electrodynamic and dynamic coupling between high and low latitudes on the forming and evolvement of low-mid ionospheric storms. The key scientific issues to solve in the project are: 1) Common morphologic features of low-mid latitude ionospheric storms; 2) During storms and in low latitudes the local ion enhancements from upper F layer to the plasmasphere and its forming reason; 3) The influence of the driving forces coming from the polar region on the forming and evolvement of low-mid ionospheric storms; and 4) In the different phases of storms the relative importance of the different dr
