中文摘要: 大规模时空科学数据由实测数据和数值计算数据组成,蕴含了复杂的时空演化规律和关联。传统可视化方法可直观呈现空间演化规律,但仅限于显示的手段,通常被认为是一个单向信息传递方法,与科学计算和数据分析的结合不紧密。项目将探索新的可视化分析机制,融入用户的经验和知识,调节和优化科学计算的算法步骤和参数设置,使之成为一个双向信息传递过程。 项目重点探索:①为了充分采用观测数据验证科学计算结果的准确性,研究离散(观测数据)和连续(数值计算数据)数据的混合可视化方法,直观呈现两者的混合结果。②基于可视界面,对多模态时空科学数据进行比较可视化。通过将数据差异增强和可视化,并以差异最小化为优化目标,辅助用户交互地设定科学计算参数。③将三维时空数据类比为可视媒体,采用可视媒体方法分析时空数值计算数据,挖掘周期性、异常值等规律。项目将以蛋白质相互作用时变分子场、资源与环境遥感监测为案例,验证提出的方法。

英文摘要: Large scale spatio-temporal scientific data are comprised of ones from real actual measurement and others from numerical calculation, in both of which complicated spatio-temporal evolution law and association are implicit. Traditional visualization methods can show spatial evolution law directly, but they are limited to means of display. So they are considered to be one-direction information delivery pathway and are not closely related with scientific computation and data analysis. This project will explore a new mechanism for visual analysis, which will mix users' experience and knowledge and enable users moderate and optimize the procedures and parameters for scientific computation. In that way, a bi-direction information delivery pathway will be obtained. The project will focus on these subjects: 1) In order to verify the scientific computation results using actual measurement data, we will study hybrid visualization for both discrete (observation data) and continuous (numerical calculation data) data and show users the mixture. 2) With visualization interface, we will make comparative analysis and visualize the multimodal data. By strengthening and visualizing the difference and by minimizing the difference for optimization, we can assist users to set computation parameters more rationally. 3) By considering
