中文摘要: 多输入多输出(MIMO)技术以其潜在的巨大优势已成为下一代无线通信网络研究中的关键技术。而Massive MIMO作为现有 MIMO 技术的延伸,将天线数目扩展到数十根或者上百根,能够提供较大的分集和复用增益,并将信道容量和频谱效率提高数十倍。然而,在天线如此多的 Massive MIMO 系统中,接收端检测算法的性能与复杂度成为了其实现中的瓶颈。为此,本项目针对Massive MIMO系统进行研究:1)对Massive MIMO信道进行建模并分析其统计特性;2)理论推导得出最优检测准则并调研比较不同检测算法在Massive MIMO系统中的适用性(性能及复杂度);3)探求高性能低复杂度的接收检测算法,如改进的球形检测算法等。本项目的研究成果对高可靠性及高传输速率的下一代网络在实际中的应用有着重要的理论研究意义和实际应用价值。

英文摘要: MIMO has become the key technology in next generation wireless communication systems with its potentially huge advantage to achieve high spectral efficiency. Massive MIMO is an extension of the existing MIMO technology. By applying tens to hundreds of antennas at both base stations and terminals, it is possible to increase diversity order and multiplexing gain, as well as to improve channel capacity and spectral efficiency by dozens of times. However, in Massive MIMO systems, detection complexity at the receiver has become the bottleneck for hardware implementation. This project will mainly focus on Massive MIMO systems, including 1) the design and analysis of Massive MIMO channels, 2) comparison of performance and complexity of different Massive MIMO detection methods, 3) research on high-performance and low-complexity detection algorithms, such as improved sphere detection algorithms. The results of this project will help the development of next generation communications and thus enlighten the deployment of real-world networks.
