中文摘要: 视频码率控制一直是实时视频通信中的研究热点之一。新一代视频编码标准HEVC对重构视频有着主观质量的要求,需要从视觉感知的新角度出发来研究码率控制。本项目以HEVC低时延框架为研究对象,研究视觉计算模型和感知码率控制技术。在研究中,充分考虑视频信号的时域特征和区域特征,提出新的视觉掩藏效应,建立基于区域感知的视觉计算模型;利用非线性作用函数,提出基于新视觉掩藏效应的码率控制基本单元划分方法;提出反映主观性能的新客观质量评价准则和相应的编码失真,建立感知率失真模型;给出适用于HEVC的新R-Q模型,提出基于主观质量相同的QP确定方法。最终建立具有感知码率控制的HEVC视频通信软件平台,进一步完善视频码率控制理论。

英文摘要: Rate control is a research hotspot in real-time video communications. In the new generation of video coding standard HEVC there is the need of good subjective quality of reconstructive video. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the rate control algorithm form the new angle of perception for HEVC. In the program, the research object is the low delay structure in HEVC, and the research contents include visual computation model and perceptual rate control. In the proposed algorithm, the temporal and regional characteristics of video signal are considered completely to firstly propose a new visual masking effect and build a region based visual computation model. Secondly, the sigmoid function is used to propose a new rate control base unit partition method based on the new visual masking effect. Thirdly, a new objective video quality assessment and a new corresponding coding distortion are propose to reflect the subjective quality and establish a new perceptual rate distorion model. Forthly, a new R-Q model for HEVC and the QP determination method based on the same subjective quality are proposed. Finally, the HEVC video communication software platform with perceptual rate control is built, and the proposed technologies can enrich the video rate control theory.
