中文摘要: 本次专题讲习班从7月20日到8月16日共计4周的时间,是联合广州市疾病预防控制中心面向研究生、青年教师、博士后以及相关研究人员举行的一次专题学习培训班。我们将邀请10多位世界上著名的生物学家、数学家为我们系统、详细地讲解基因表达的基本知识、随机基因表达与疾病的关联、基因表达模型的建立原理与分析方法、基因调控在疾病控制中的应用、微分方程在生物学中的应用、随机过程等6门以上前沿课程。通过本专题讲习班的学习,可引领研究生及年轻生物数学爱好者进入学科前沿的研究中,了解当今世界研究的热门课题、研究方法、所使用的工具等。通过建立实验驱动的数学模型,结合动力系统、数值分析、统计和随机分析的方法,为解决分子生物学中的疑难问题提供新的思路,为当地疾病预防控制提供理论指导。

英文摘要: This special symposium is a four-week course, which is from July 20th to August 16th. With the help of Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention, we organize a special scientific training course for the graduates, young teachers, post-doctors and other researchers, and help them to understand gene expression and its application. We invite 10 biologists and mathematicians. Most of them are well-known scientists and make a lot of outstanding work in molecular biology. They will give lessons about several frontier subjects, including the basic knowledge of gene expression, the relevance between stochastic expression and some diseases, the fundamental principles and analytical approaches for modeling gene expression, and the application of gene regulation in disease control, the application of differential equations in biology, random process. By the special symposium, we aim to guide the graduate students and young bio-mathematical enthusiasts into the advanced science, help them know the hot research fields, the main methods and the popular tools in the research.
