Global climate change and ecological problems bring about by the greenhouse gas effect become a severe challenge in the 21st century. Methane is not only the main greenhouse gas, but also the clean energy source, how to reduce and reuse methane play an important role on mitigation of the global warming and energy crisis. Landfill as the main anthropogenic methane emission source, to analysis the methane produce, transportation and emission regulation efficiently, establish an effective methane production and emission model are the fundamental to evaluate the greenhouse effect from landfill methane, perfect the global methane emission inventory and reuse landfill methane. The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of vegetation characteristics on the methane emission from landfill, elucidate the methane transportation and emission mechanism, calculate the methane emission flux from vegetation path, clarify the effect of meteorological conditions on the vegetation physiological properties and methane emission flux, establish the methane emission 3-D model based on an interactive mechanism of cover soil and vegetation, provide the reliable method for greenhouse effect estimation of landfill methane and the basic data for global methane emission inventory, which play an important theoretic and practical significance on the landfill methane control and reuse.
