中文摘要: 项目将结合课题组在无线网络多媒体业务QoE保障机制、移动视频流的QoS自适应控制方法、跨层QoS设计等方面的前期研究工作和相关领域的最新研究成果,针对泛在异构无线网络(UHWN)的分层异构和时变特性,进一步探索UHWN中实时多媒体通信的端到端QoS/QoE保障系统模型,特别是支持实时多媒体通信的自主QoE体系结构和数学模型、水平和垂直QoS映射模型、异构网络多媒体业务端到端QoS自适应控制跨层设计优化方法,包括应用层效能函数Util建模、实时视频FEC-UEP、内容感知AQM和媒体感知ARQ,建立能够深入研究上述科学问题的实验平台,取得原创性的科学研究成果。本研究对进一步提升UHWN的QoE保证能力有着重要意义,为无线视频流的跨层QoS优化设计提供科学依据和解析分析工具,从而为推动基于3G/4G/无线区域网/城域网的移动视频及多媒体通信的实际应用,加快我国信息产业发展贡献一份力量。

英文摘要: Combining with the investigators' previous work on multimedia QoE support in wireless networks, adaptive QoS control of mobile video, cross-layer QoS design, and recent technology development in related fields, this project will further investigate the QoS/QoE support system model for real time multimedia communications over universal heterogeneous wireless networks (UHWN) taking into account of the heterogeneity and time-variable feature of UHWN, especially on mathematical models and autonomic QoE architecture for real time multimedia communications, horizontal and vertical QoS mapping models, cross-layer design optimization methods of end to end QoS adaptive control of multimedia services in heterogeneous networks, including application layer utility function modeling, real time video FEC-UEP, content-aware AQM and media-aware ARQ, so as to establish an experimental platform for in-depth research on the above-mentioned scientific issues and to make original scientific research achievements. This research is important for enhancing the QoE support capability of UHWN. It will provide scientific insights and analytical tools for cross-layer QoS design optimization of wireless video streaming; hence contribute to promoting the applications of 3G/4G/WRAN/WMAN based mobile video and multimedia communications and to
