中文摘要: 近年来,手指静脉识别因其具有一些固有优势而成为生物特征识别研究领域的热点。尽管手指静脉识别研究取得了不小的进展,但在识别性能、适应能力和鲁棒性等方面仍然存在一些急需解决的问题。针对大规模人群和多类型采集设备应用场景,本项目从手指静脉识别应用和发展的趋势出发,凝练出设备无关性、匹配速度和代价敏感三个关键科学问题,并进行深入研究。主要研究内容有:(a)研究具有设备无关性的手指静脉识别方法,增强手指静脉识别系统对多种不同类型采集设备的适应性和鲁棒性。(b)研究手指静脉图像分类和索引方法,提升大规模人群应用场景下的匹配速度。(c)研究代价敏感的手指静脉识别方法,追求系统识别性能和错误代价之间的平衡。项目的总体目标是进一步提升手指静脉识别系统的识别性能(识别精度和识别速度),改善用户的使用体验,增强系统对大规模人群和多类型采集设备的适应能力。

英文摘要: Finger vein recognition has been a hot topic in recent biometrics research domain due to its some inherent advantages. Although a lot of developments have been achieved in finger vein recognition, there are still many problems to be solved in demand, such as recognition performance, adaptability and robustness. Aiming at large scale subjects and multi-type sensors application environments, this project analyze the applications and trends of finger vein recognition system and abstract three key problems, such as sensor interoperability problem, matching speed problem and cost sensitive problem. The main content of this project includes: (a) finger vein recognition method with sensor interoperability. This part aims to enhance the adaptability and robustness to different type sensors in finger vein recognition system. (b) finger vein image classification and indexing method. This part aims to promote the matching speed in large scale themes environment. (c) finger vein recognition method with cost sensitive. This part aims to pursue the balance between minimum cost and good recognition performance. The overall goal of this project is to promote the recognition performance and adaptability of finger vein recognition system, and we expect this will push forward the development of finger vein recognition technology.
