中文摘要: 过渡金属包括贵金属在多相催化中广泛应用,其表面局域结构和性质往往决定了催化反应的转化率和选择性,是表面与催化领域的研究重点。以金属单晶和薄膜为基础,控制制备表面结构,研究表面性质与分子探针反应的构效关系,从表面结构的角度来实现表面分子反应的精确调控。本项目借助低温扫描探针显微技术的超高空间和能量分辨率,探测表面与分子的几何结构与电子性质,在原子和分子层次上系统研究金属表面活性和分子反应调控的有效途径。本项目的实施有利于深化人们对表面反应的认识,为高效催化体系的研究提供科学基础。

英文摘要: Transition metals including noble ones possess wide applications in heterogeneous catalysis. Their surface local structures and properties virtually dictate their catalytic activity and selectivity, which is the main research focus in surface and catalysis. On metal single crystals and films, controlled preparations of surface structures play an important role in exploring the relationship between surface properties and surface probe reactions, and lay a solid foundation in achieving precise control of surface reactions. This project is making use of the ultrahigh spatial and energy resolutions of low temperature scanning probe microscopy to study the geometric and electronic properties of the substrate surfaces and adsorbed molecules, aiming at searching for the efficient ways to tune the surface activities of metals and surface molecular reactions at the atomic and molecular levels. The implementation of this project will be beneficial for our deep understanding of surface reactions and establish the scientific basis for the development of high-performance catalysis.
