This project based on the character of heavy metals and organic pollutants coexistence on the solid waste incineration fine particulate matter. Through the systematic analysis on heavy metal and aromatic compounds enrichment behavior, chemical speciation and environmentally persistent free radicals (EPFRs) formation characters, reveal the internal law of EPFRs generation on different particle size from different solid waste incineration sources. The dynamics of reactive oxygen species (ROS) activation by EPFRs will be investigated. At the same time, the toxicology mechanism of acute damage to human body health by different types of persistent free radicals will also be studied. The achievements of this project are potential to provide basic data supporting for evaluating the human health risk of EPFRs on fine particles.
