Since the urbanization rate of China reached 50% in 2011, China entered the rapid development period of urbanization. The problem of migrant workers that caused by rapid urbanization, such as migration destination, integration, livelihoods and so on, has been concerned widely about by the relevant academics. This group has special demands for social behavior and local emotion, so the residential space is concerned above all else with primitives. For there remain some differences in availability of resource among kinds of residential space, one feasible method is to build an evaluation model by learning from Index of Community Access of Resource (CARI). But first of all, statistical data, planning data, cadastral data and thematic maps should be collected to summarize the characteristics of migrant workers, while field investigation and questionnaire survey can be used to study the demands of migrant workers. Methods of GIS and morphological analysis will help study residential space types. Comparing the availability of residential types in origin and destination area, can help to find the particular resources shortages. The principal of optimize availability level need to consider the quantity, quality and accessibility of resource allocation. This research findings will promote the pattern of residential space reconstruction, providing the basis for the policy of upgrading quality of urbanization and guiding the local transfer.
