中文摘要: 紫外非线性光学晶体是实现全固态紫外激光输出的关键材料,目前短波紫外变频晶体依赖具有BO3平面三角形结构的硼酸盐晶体,由于实际应用对晶体综合性能提出更高要求,而进一步发现新型硼酸盐非线性光学晶体难度不断增大,开拓新的材料体系显得尤为迫切。本项目组在前期探索中认识到非心结构的碳酸盐具有较大的非线性光学系数、高的紫外透过率、合适的双折射率、高的激光损伤阈值,完全符合紫外非线性光学晶体应用需求。因此,本项目以拓展材料体系为目标,通过深入研究同样具有平面三角配位结构的碳酸盐、硝酸盐等多个体系化合物的结构与性能关系,合成系列化合物,实现平面三角形结构化合物的结构设计和可控制备,发展该类化合物特别是碳酸盐可控制备和晶体生长的新方法,筛选出具有优良综合性能的紫外倍频晶体材料,获得若干紫外非线性光学晶体单晶。预期将开辟新的紫外非线性光学晶体材料体系,为紫外倍频应用提供候选优秀晶体材料。

英文摘要: UV nonlinear optical (NLO) crystals are very imporant materials for solid sate laser output in the UV region. Currently, only borate crystals with plannar triangular BO3 units are able o be used for UV frequency convertion. Development of new famlily is desired because it is more and more difficult to descover news NLO borate crystals, and, more demands are rasing from application. In our privious studies on carbonate crystals, we found NLO carbonate crystals have good properties, such as large NLO coefficent, short UV cut-off, moderate birefringence, large laser damege shreshold. Therefore, inorder to develop new materials family, the relationship between structure and properties for various compounds with plannar triangular units will be studied. The new method of synthsis and growth of carbnates will be developed. Large single crystals with good linear and nonlinear optical properties will be grown. The optical properties will be measured.
