中文摘要: “碳基能源的转化与高效利用”的关键问题之一是如何在对反应基团认知的基础上,理性地实现对它们的组装、操控和重组,碳-氢键的选择性活化偶联则是其中的核心问题之一。传统C-H键活化反应的表征通常使用各种谱学分析手段,实空间直接观察的缺失使得其对反应中间态以及催化机理等细节缺乏理解。在本项目中,通过表面在位化学技术,我们将系统研究各种官能团修饰的芳烃在表面的C-H键活化偶联现象。结合扫描隧道显微镜、X射线光电子能谱和密度泛函计算等技术,我们将阐明官能化芳烃在金属单晶表面的C-H键活化途径与机制,及其反应选择性的机理。

英文摘要: One of the most charming and challenging topics in organic chemistry and chemical industry is the C-H selective activation, since it plays a key role in the energy sciences. Traditionally, the study of the C-H bond activation relies highly on the spectrum means. The lack of real-space atomic scale monitoring prevents the comprehensive understanding of the reaction pathways and the mechanisms. In this project, we propose to study the C-H bond activation behaviors of functionalized aromatic hydrocarbon on various surfaces. Combining scanning tunneling microscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and density functional theory techniques, we are able to demonstrate the reaction pathway and the reaction mechanism of the surface controlled C-H bond activation. Moreover, the selectivity of the C-H bond activation will be studied on the surfaces.
