英文摘要: This project will implement experimental research on the noise in second order nonlinear single-photon frequency conversion process. The project will figure out the noise's sources and spectral intensity distribution and, increase the process's signal noise ratio. Then the project will realize high efficiency and low noise optical frequecny conversion, which will be used in quantum communication. We will utilize the sum frequency generation to up-convert telecom band single photons into visible photons and then detect them by silicon single photon detectors. With this up conversion detector, we will achieve high-speed long-distance quantum cryptography and communication. We will also utilize the differential frequency generation to convert the visible light in satelite based quantum communication into telecom band light to realize global quantum communication network.
