中文摘要: 在极区边缘和季节性结冰海域,海冰普遍表现出较强的离散分布和非连续运移特性,而基于连续介质的传统海冰数值模型尚难以精确模拟这类物理现象。针对于此,本项目将采用温度敏感的平行粘结、单元应力分配核函数、粘-弹塑性本构关系、计算单元的增减等方式和考虑盐度随时空演化的热力学过程来发展和完善海冰的精细化动力-热力学离散元模型。该模型不仅可以对风和流等作用下海冰的断裂、破碎、堆积和辐散等动力过程进行模拟,还可以通过考虑热力学过程实现对生消、冻结和融化断裂等海冰热力和动力耦合过程的模拟。此外,本项目针对渤海海冰开展应用性研究,将模型与高效并行算法、海洋和大气模式、卫星遥感图像和现场监测手段相结合,发展渤海海冰的高精度预报模型,尤其提高初冰期和融冰期海冰要素的预报精度。本项目基于离散单元方法发展的海冰精细化数值模型,将为深入研究具有明显动力学过程的海冰动力-热力演化机理提供科学依据。

英文摘要: In subarctic and seasonal ice-covered area, most of the ice pack is composed of discrete and movable floes, which makes ice cover unstable. These properties are not able to be exactly simulated through traditional numerical model. Therefore, this project will develop a model based on DEM (discrete element method) to effectively reflect the properties. The model takes advantage of parallel-bond sensitive to temperature, kernel function for stress distribution, viscous-elastic-plastic constitutive relation, increasing or decreasing computational elements and a new thermodynamic simulation considering salinity variable on time and space. So it is competent to embody fracture, overlapping, accumulation, melting and freezing of sea ice under the condition of current, wave, temperature and so on. Furthermore, this model will be applied into the Bohai Sea in collaboration with parallel computation, oceanic and atmospheric model, satellite image and field monitoring technology. This fine model can be used to employ dynamic thermodynamic processes of sea ice in the area dominated by movable floes.
