中文摘要: 低能耗是无线传感网(WSN)的基本要求。基于同步唤醒的睡眠调度机制是降低传感网能耗的主要方法之一。然而,在同步睡眠调度机制中,由于随机同步误差的存在和积累,节点间需要周期性的收发信标(Beacon)进行时钟校准,带来较大的同步开销。本项目提出一种基于信标时间分集的睡眠调度机制,通过在同步过程中发送多个不连续信标,保证被同步节点在规定唤醒时间内以最小的开销和最大的概率尽快捕获到信标,减少等待信标的空闲侦听能耗,以及收发信标的总能耗。本项目用非线性规划的方法进行信标分集的研究,探索信标发送数目和时间点的最优化问题,为在传感网中实现低开销的时间同步和超低功耗的按需睡眠调度奠定基础。在前期的工作中,已寻找到信标分集的迭代最优解,以及可实现的解析次优解。实验表明,基于信标分集的睡眠调度可以降低时间同步的占空比60%以上。因此我们有信心通过本项目的研究,显著降低传感网的同步开销,最大化传感网的生存期。

英文摘要: Low power consumption is the basic requirement for the wireless sensor networks (WSN). Sleep scheduling mechanism based on synchronized wake-up is one of the main methods for reducing energy consumption of WSN. However, due to the accumulated random synchronization errors in synchronized sleep scheduling, the nodes in WSN must periodically exchange beacons to calibrate their clocks, thus contribute relatively high synchronization overhead. This project proposes a synchronized sleep scheduling mechanism based on time diversity of beacons. A node sends several noncontinuous beacons in a synchronization process, assuring that the receiving node quickly captures one of its beacons in a given wake-up time with the least overhead and the maximum probability. So it will reduce the idle listening energy consumption of waiting beacons and the total consumption of sending and receiving beacons. In this project, we will study the beacon diversity with non-linear programming method and explore the optimalization of beacon sending number and sending time, aiming to achieve the low-overhead time synchronization and ultra low-power on-demand sleep scheduling in WSN.
