中文摘要: 随着智能移动终端的日益普及和移动互联网应用的百花齐放,移动数据流量呈爆炸性增长。数据流量不断增长带来的通信能耗和电池容量相对受限之间的矛盾越来越凸显。本项目试图使数据传输在满足用户应用需求的同时,能够充分利用无线网络接口的能耗特点以实现能耗节约。通过对国内外研究现状的调研发现,现有面向移动互联网的网络协议设计沿袭了传统互联网中端到端的设计理念,无法有效利用移动互联网中数据传输的机会性。针对该问题,本项目研究流量模型感知的多模移动终端数据传输能耗模型,通过分析能耗模型提出机会性流量调度算法、电路域辅助的消息推送服务和基于数据移动的数据访问策略来设计机会性数据传输机制,并对其进行原型验证以及节能效果评估。

英文摘要: With the popularity of multi-radio smartphones and emergence of mobile applications, it has become a prominent problem that the capacity of their battery cannot meet the demand for energy from the ever-increasing data traffic. This project tries to design data transmission protocols to achieve maximum energy efficiency while the OoS requirement of application is also satisfied. Related researches on energy efficiency of data transmission are based on the end-to-end argument, which contradicts with the opportunistic nature of the wireless access network. To solve this problem, traffic pattern-aware data transmission energy consumption model for multi-radio mobile devices is given. Based on this model, opportunistic traffic scheduling, circuit switch assisted push notification service and data mobility based data accessing are proposed for energy efficient opportunistic data transmission mechanism. The prototype of the opportunistic data transmission is to be implemented and its energy efficiency is to be evaluated.
