中文摘要: 传统的多重准位相匹配技术研究级联e+e=e二阶非线性过程的耦合物理特性。本项目拟在传统多重准位相匹配理论的基础上研究多偏振模式耦合的级联二阶非线性光学过程和物理特性;重点研究这些耦合过程所满足的耦合方程及其理论体系;研究偏振耦合物理特性对非线性参量过程中动力学演化过程的影响。探索局域准位相匹配理论在偏振耦合系统中的应用。初步研究表明:不同偏振光波之间的二阶非线性过程包括四-六种可能的组合,两个或者两个以上偏振耦合的级联过程将会产生多种复杂的耦合模式和耦合特性。通过本项目的研究,建立包含所有耦合模式的多重准位相匹配的统一理论体系,研究偏振耦合系统中新的物理现象和特性,在实验上验证理论预言和发现。该理论体系和研究结果不仅有助于非线性光学参量过程中偏振特性和准位相匹配带隙等基础研究,也有望对新型全固态激光技术的发展产生重要指导意义,必将开拓人工微结构材料和准位相匹配研究的新领域。

英文摘要: The conventional multiple quasi-phase-matching (MQPM) studied the coupling properties of e-ray + e-ray = e-ray process. In our present project, based on the conventional MQPM theory, we will investigate the couplings of second-order nonlinear optical process with different polarizations (such as o-ray and e-ray). The emphasis of our project is to study the coupling equations and corresponding theory systems. It is possible to seek out the application of local quasi-phase-matching in such configuration. It is known that single polarization-dependent optical parametric process consists of 4-6 different configurations. It is believed that MQPM of polarization couplings will become more complicated, which results in more physical coupling properties and effects. The goal of our project is to set up the full theory and analysis of MQPM in all configurations, and to find and predict the possible phenomena and effects, which will be verified by following experiments. It is hopeful that our results may contribute to the fundamental research of polarization properties and QPM gap in nonlinear parametric process. Also it will be helpful to the development of all solid-state laser technique, which surely will opens the new frontier of artificial microstructures and QPM studies.
