中文摘要: 网格编辑技术已经被成功地应用于数字娱乐产业的各个领域,推动着学术界对其展开更深入的研究。鉴于三维网格模型通常会包含重要的结构信息,编辑时一旦失真会导致明显的视觉瑕疵,本项目主要研究结构敏感的网格编辑技术,在交互式变形、非均匀缩放和变形合成三个方面展开探索。首先,基于结构信息和变形程度,构建了一个多层次的变形框架,能够尽量地保持结构、局部细节和体积,进而将其扩展至时变网格序列。其次,分别讨论了扫描模型和人造模型的非均匀缩放问题,能够有效地维持模型的风格,得到符合视觉感知的效果。最后,提出了一个变形合成算法,能够在样本库中自动选取多个源网格的局部变形,无缝地融合到同一目标网格上。本项目针对上述研究内容提供了切实可行的研究方案,初步实现了一个鲁棒的、实用的编辑系统,可以处理复杂网格数据,获得令人满意的效果。

英文摘要: Mesh editing has been widely used in the fields of digital entertainment, thus receiving more and more attention in current research. As 3D meshes often contain salient structures, even a little distortion will cause apparent visual artifacts during editing, this project mainly discusses structure-sensitive mesh editing techniques, including interactive deformation, non-homogeneous resizing and deformation synthesis. Firstly, based on structure and deformation degree, a hierarchical deformation framework is built to preserve salient structures, local details and volume, then it is extended to time-varying mesh sequences. Secondly, the non-homogeneous resizing problem of scanned models and man-made models are respectively addressed, which can effectively maintain the model style and obtain perception-aware results. Finally, a deformation synthesis algorithm is proposed to automatically select several source deformations from the sample database, then seamlessly synthesize to a single target mesh. This project provides a practical and feasible research scheme, and achieves a robust and useful editing system which can handle complex mesh data and obtain satisfactory results.
