中文摘要: 片上网络已成目前国内外研究的热点,它对于解决片上多个处理器核之间的通信瓶颈,提高系统的性能有着重要的意义。为了提高片上网络的研发效率,减少开发成本,研究一种能快速准确地评估片上网络通信性能-功耗的方法,并以此指导片上网络的优化设计是有必要的。 本项目拟深入研究系统参数对片上网络通信性能和功耗的影响,并分别将半马尔科夫过程和多元线性回归理论引入通信性能建模和功耗建模之中,以建立可扩展性强、准确度高的片上网络通信性能分析模型和功耗分析模型;其次,以相关参数为中介,研究片上网络通信性能和功耗之间的关系,并在此基础上建立片上网络通信性能-功耗联合分析模型;最后,在系统资源和面积等条件的约束下,以通信性能-功耗联合分析模型为核心,研究既能满足系统通信性能需求,又能满足系统功耗约束的片上网络设计方法。通过本项目的研究,拟为分析片上网络通信性能-功耗提供理论依据,并片上网络的优化设计提供新的思路。

英文摘要: NoC(Network-on-Chip) becomes the research hot spot at present, and it has tremendous impact on solving the bottleneck of inter-core communication, as well as improving the system performance. To increase the efficiency of NoC research and development, minimize the development cost, it is necessary to design a fast NoC performance-power evaluation method to guide the R&D of a NoC system. Our research proposes to first study the impact of variety parameters on NoC communication performance and its power consumption, induct the Semi-Markov Process and the Multiple Linear Regression theroy into NoC performance modeling and NoC power Modeling, and construct scalable, high-accurate analytic models for NoC performance and power consumption, respectively. Then, the relationship between NoC communication performance and NoC power comsumption is studied based on the relative parameters, and a joint NoC performance-power model is developed. Finally, under the constrain of chip area and resouces budget, a NoC design methodology is studied to minimize the power comsumption when the NoC communication performance is satisfied. Through the study of this project, we expect to provide the theoretical basis of fast assessment of NoC communication performance-power consumption, and provides a new method to guide the NoC design flow
