中文摘要: 由于无线信道状态的不稳定性,如何有效衡量系统时延,是时延敏感无线通信系统设计与优化的重要研究课题之一。有限状态马尔科夫模型常用于估测无线信道,其可以有效体现信道的波动变化,却不便于无线通信系统的时延分析。当前相关的时延性能研究,普遍采用矩阵几何方法,只能得到数值解,不能详释信道自身波动对系统时延性能影响的内在联系,不利于系统的理论设计与优化。本项目拟从有限状态马尔科夫信道入手,研究无线传输系统的时延性能:首先,提出一个适用于时延分析的排队模型,并建立其与无线马尔科夫信道模型参数的关联;然后,基于不同信道状态研究每个数据包的传输时间;最后,通过拓展广义 Pollaczek-Khinchin 公式分析系统时延,研究信道波动对其的影响。本项目的完成将提出一套分析无线网络系统时延的完整方法,量化影响时延性能的关键指标,为今后延敏感无线网络的分析与设计提供理论支持。

英文摘要: Evaluating the delay performance of delay-sensitive wireless communication systems with stringent Quality of Service (QoS) guarantee is a fundamental problem. Finite-state Markov channel model are widely used to evaluate the wireless channel, which well captures the variations of wireless channels while introduces complexity to the system delay analysis. The existing delay performance analyses of wireless systems, which are mostly based on the Matrix-Geometric Method (MGM), only obtain numerical results with little physical insight for system design. This research aims to analyze the delay performance of wireless communication systems by modeling the wireless channels as Markov chains: 1) proposing a queueing model for the delay analysis by relating its parameters with the Markov channel models; 2) analyzing the transmission time of each packet based on the wireless channel state, and 3) studying the delay performance of the time-varying system by deriving the generalized Pollaczek-Khinchin formula. The completion of this research will provide a new method to analyze the delay performance of wireless communication systems with the key factors that affecting the system delay performance, so as to theoretically support the future analyses and design of delay-sensitive wireless communication systems.
