The International Conference on Performance Engineering (ICPE) is the leading international forum for presenting and discussing novel ideas, innovations, trends and experiences in the field of performance engineering.

Modern systems, such as big data and machine learning systems,  data centers and cloud infrastructures, social networks, peer-to-peer, mobile and wireless systems, cyber-physical systems, the Internet of Things or more traditional systems such as web-based or real-time systems, rely increasingly on distributed and dynamic architectures and pose a challenge the end-to-end performance management. ICPE brings together researchers and practitioners to report state-of-the-art and in-progress research on performance engineering of software and systems, including performance measurement, modeling, benchmark design, and run-time performance management. The focus is both on classical metrics such as response time, throughput, resource utilization, and (energy) efficiency, as well as on the relationship of such metrics to other system properties including but not limited to scalability, elasticity, availability, reliability, cost, sustainability, security and privacy.

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts that present original unpublished research in all areas of parallel and distributed processing, including the development of experimental or commercial systems. Work focusing on emerging technologies and interdisciplinary work covering multiple IPDPS areas are especially welcome. Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following topic areas:
-Parallel and distributed computing theory and algorithms (Algorithms): Design and analysis of novel numerical and combinatorial parallel algorithms; protocols for resource management; communication and synchronization on parallel and distributed systems; parallel algorithms handling power, mobility, and resilience.
-Experiments and practice in parallel and distributed computing (Experiments): Design and experimental evaluation of applications of parallel and distributed computing in simulation and analysis; experiments on the use of novel commercial or research architectures, accelerators, neuromorphic architectures, and other non-traditional systems; algorithms for cloud computing; domain-specific parallel and distributed algorithms; performance modeling and analysis of parallel and distributed algorithms.
-Programming models, compilers and runtimes for parallel applications and systems (Programming Models): Parallel programming paradigms, models and languages; compilers, runtime systems, programming environments and tools for the support of parallel programming; parallel software development and productivity.
-System software and middleware for parallel and distributed systems (System Software): System software support for scientific workflows; storage and I/O systems; system software for resource management, job scheduling, and energy-efficiency; frameworks targeting cloud and distributed systems; system software support for accelerators and heterogeneous HPC computing systems; interactions between the OS, runtime, compiler, middleware, and tools; system software support for fault tolerance and resilience; containers and virtual machines; system software supporting data management, scalable data analytics, machine learning, and deep learning; specialized operating systems and runtime systems for high performance computing and exascale systems; system software for future novel computing platforms including quantum, neuromorphic, and bio-inspired computing.
-Architecture: Architectures for instruction-level and thread-level parallelism; memory technologies and hierarchies; exascale system designs; data center architectures; novel big data architectures; special-purpose architectures and accelerators; network and interconnect architectures; parallel I/O and storage systems; power-efficient and green computing systems; resilience and dependable architectures; performance modeling and evaluation.
-Multidisciplinary: Papers that cross the boundaries of the previous tracks are encouraged and can be submitted to the multidisciplinary track. During submission of multidisciplinary papers, authors should indicate their subject areas that can come from any area. Contributions should either target two or more core areas of parallel and distributed computing where the whole is larger than sum of its components, or advance the use of parallel and distributed computing in other areas of science and engineering.

Data Warehouse (DW) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) technologies are the core of current Decision Support Systems. The widespread deployment of both DWs and OLAP technologies is due to the intuitive representation of data and simple primitives provided to data analysts or managers in support of management decisions. Research in data warehousing and OLAP has produced important technologies for the design, management and use of information systems for decision support.

BI of the future will be significantly different than what the current state-of-the-practice supports. The trend is to move from the current decision support systems that are "data presenting" to more dynamic systems that allow the semi-automation of the decision making process. This means that the systems partially guide their users towards data discovery, intuition and system-aided decision making via intelligent techniques and visualization. In the back stage, the thrust of the big data era, with the requires that new methods, models, techniques, or architecture are needed to cope with the increasing demand in capacity, data type diversity and responsiveness. And of course, this does not necessarily mean to re-invent the wheel, but rather, as recommended by Gartner to companies regarding BD adoption, "Build on existing BI programs - don't abandon or segregate them". We envision DOLAP 2019 as a venue where novel ideas around these new landscapes of business intelligence and big data are fostered and nurtured and new exiting results are produced, in an attempt to build a strong, vibrant community around these areas.

Nineteen DOLAP workshops have been held in the past with great success. During these years, DOLAP has been established as one of the reference places for researchers to publish their work in the area of data warehousing and OLAP and maintains a high quality of accepted papers. Like the previous DOLAP workshops, DOLAP 2019 aims at synergistically connecting the research community and industry practitioners and provides an international forum where both researchers and practitioners can share their findings in theoretical foundations, current methodologies, and practical experiences, and where industry technology developers can describe technical details about their products and companies exploiting BI and Big Data technology can discuss case studies and experiences.

The 5th edition of the International Conference on Cloud and Robotics (ICCR 2018 - http://cloudrobotics.info) will be held on November 12-14 2018 in Paris and Saint-Quentin, France. The conference is a co-event with GDR ALROB and the industry exposition Robonumerique (http://www.robonumerique.fr).

The domain of cloud robotics aims to converge robots with computation, storage and communication resources provided by the cloud. The cloud may complement robotic resources in several ways, including crowd-sourcing knowledge databases, context information, computational offloading or data-intensive information processing for artificial intelligence. Today, the paradigms of cloud/fog/edge computing propose software architecture solutions for robots to share computations or offload them to ambiant and networked resources. Yet, combining distant computations with the real time constraints of robotics is very challenging. As the challenges in this domain are multi-disciplinary and similar in other research areas, Cloud Robotics aims at building bridges among experts from academia and industry working in different fields, such as robotics, cyber-physical systems, automotive, aerospace, machine learning, artificial intelligence, software architecture, big data analytics, Internet-of-Things, networked control and distributed cloud systems.

The conference is organizing two special sessions: one on Robotics in Agriculture, as well as one industry session.

Topics of interest include, but are not necessarily limited to:
-Architectures and middleware solutions for cyber-physical systems, integrating the IoT, the cloud/fog/edge with robots and other actuators.
-Software engineering practices for networked robotic and cyber-physical systems.
-Domain Specific Languages for cloud robotics and cyber-physical systems.
-Tele-robotic systems.
-Multi-robot coordination and orchestration.
-Cloud/Fog/Edge-based control systems, possibly using deterministic wireless or wired networking.
-Networked control with application to cloud/fog/edge robotic and cyber-physical systems.
-Computational offloading and load balancing in robotics.
-Distributed sensing, planning and actuation.
-Distributed sensor fusion for improved control policies.
-Self-adaptive networked cyber-physical and robotic systems.
-Cloud-supported collective knowledge and parameter sharing between actuation systems.
-Transfer and shared learning between tasks or across robotic systems.
-Hands-on experiences and use cases in the fields of manufacturing, Industry 4.0, healthcare, active assisted living, logistics and transportation, security and surveillance, precision agriculture, smart grids, smart cities and others.
