中文摘要: 苏门答腊俯冲带逆冲型大地震的断裂带在西姆鲁岛和巴图岛等区域被分隔,这种断裂带的分段现象对于理解俯冲带大地震发生的构造机理与逆冲断层破裂、发展的控制因素,预测断层滑动潜能及其引发海啸的风险等提供了重要契机。基于在西姆鲁岛和尼亚斯岛-巴图岛两个俯冲带弧前区采集的人工源宽角地震数据,利用三维纵波初至到时反演与纵波多震相到时反演方法反演拾取的到时数据,以获得研究区的纵波速度模型;在此基础上,发展三维横波和纵波到时联合反演技术,以获得研究区的横波速度模型。利用这些速度模型,对研究区的人工源反射地震数据进行深度域偏移成像,并对在研究区发生并记录的天然地震重新定位并进行联合到时反演,以综合分析苏门答腊俯冲带结构及大型逆冲断层的地球物理特征,研究大地震断裂分段的构造成因与物理机制。本研究体现区域性精细构造研究的新进展,在综合利用地震数据研究俯冲带构造、物理属性和动力学特征方面提供了一种新的思路与途径。

英文摘要: Ruptures of the megathrust earthquakes in the Sumatra subduction zone were segmented in regions such as Simeulue Island and Batu Islands. The segmentation of the megathrust ruptures offers an unprecedented opportunity to understand the megathrust earthquake mechanism and the controlling factors of the ruptures and their propagation, and to predict the slip potential of the megathrust fault that may lead to a tsunami. Using the active-source wide-angle seismic data collected in the areas around Simeulue Island and Nias-Batu Islands, a 3-D P-wave first-arrival travel-time inversion technique and a 3-D P-wave joint refraction/reflection travel-time inversion technique are used to invert the travel-times picked from the wide-angle data for the P-wave velocity models of the study areas. Furthermore, a 3-D simultaneous P- and S-wave first-arrival travel-time inversion technique will be developed and used to invert for the S-wave velocity models. Based on these models inverted, we will reprocess the reflection seismic data collected in the study areas and relocate the earthquakes recorded approximately in the same areas. We will combine all these models and results to extract and analyze the detailed structure of the Sumatra subduction zone and the geophysical properties of the megathrust fault, in order to understand
