中文摘要: 无膜无氧直接甲醇燃料电池是一种分别以氧化剂物种/氧化还原电对和甲醇为阴、阳极活性物质,采用无膜化技术构建的新型直接甲醇燃料电池(DMFC)。与传统的DMFC相比,无膜无氧DMFC不仅展示出更好的工作性能,而且成本大大降低。但是,该类电池的发展目前仍处于起步阶段,国际学术界尚未对其进行深入的研究,在其迈向实际应用之前尚有很多基础问题亟待解决。因此,本项目选择无膜无氧DMFC为研究对象,拟从三维结构电极的合理构建、阳极催化剂的有效开发、电解液的优选和阴极溶液方案的确定等几个方面对其关键基础问题展开系统的研究,在正确理解无膜无氧DMFC性能的主要影响因素及其相互作用机制的基础上,实现可控提升无膜无氧DMFC的综合性能且促进其商业化应用的目的。此外,该项目的研究成果还将为无膜无氧DMFC的未来研究与发展提供基础数据和理论依据。

英文摘要: Anaerobic membraneless direct methanol fuel cell is a novel type of direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC)that uses methanol and oxidant/redox couple as the active materials at anode and cathode,respectively,but eliminates the proton exchange membrane. Compared to conventional DMFC,the anaerobic membraneless DMFC has demonstrated much better performance and significantly lower cost. However, the development of this novel DMFC is still at the beginning stage, nobody has conducted systematic study on it and there are many pending challenges to be well addressed before its real commercialization.In this project,therefore,the electrode structure, anode catalyst, electrolyte, cathode material and the solution will be comparatively investigated to understand the performance determining factors of the anaerobic membraneless DMFC and the mechanism, in order to enhance the operating performance and promote the commercialization. Besides, the obtained results in this project will be instructive to the future R&D on the anaerobic membraneless DMFC.
