中文摘要: 本课题主要开展了Bragg体光栅稳定半导体激光列阵(LDA)输出光谱特性的理论与实验研究,包括Bragg体光栅稳定半导体激光输出光谱的机制,Bragg体光栅作为半导体激光外腔时的光谱选择特性和反馈特性以及稳定特性;Bragg体光栅实现低光学插入损耗和窄激光光谱的理论分析,Bragg体光栅稳定半导体激光光谱的技术方案设计。理论模拟表明外腔LDA系统实现光谱稳定的范围与Bragg光栅反射率成正比,与LDA输出面反射率成反比;外腔LDA的光子密度大于自由运转时的光子密度并与光栅反射率成正比,与LDA输出面反射率成反比;外腔的引入显著压缩LDA的光谱线宽以及降低LDA阈值。实验上采用高功率半导体激光阵列、Bragg体光栅和快轴准直透镜构成外腔LDA,实现了输出光谱锁定和光谱线宽窄化。研究结果表明,增加Bragg体光栅反射率可以有效抑制外腔LDA内腔模式,提高输出光谱对比度,获得良好的光谱线宽。采用反射率为30%的体光栅,获得808nm半导体激光器光谱线宽为0.18 nm;采用反射率为20-37%的体布拉格光栅,在15-35度温度变化范围内,获得852nm半导体激光器光谱线宽可达0.17 nm。

英文摘要: Spectral characteristics and stabilization of laser diode arrays by external Bragg grating resonator was studied in this project, including spectral stabilization mechanism, spectral selectivity and stabilization of external Bragg resonator, inserted losses and spectral narrowing. Theoretical simulation indicated that the spectral stabilization and photon density of the external resonator is proportional to the reflectivity of Bragg gratings, but inversely proportional to the reflectivity of the LDA front facet. The spectral linewidth is obviously narrowed and the the threshold of the LDA is decreased with the external Bragg grating resonator. The experimental setup consists of high power laser diode arrays, Bragg gratings and fast axis alignment lenses. The spectral stabilization and narrowing was studied. The results showed that the LDA modes was effectively controlled with increasing the reflectivity of Bragg gratings, and the spectral contrast ratio imcreased, spectral linewidth narrowed, and spectral drift improved. The linewidth of 0.18nm for 808nm laser was obtained with the external Bragg grating at the reflectivity of 30%. Besides, The linewidth of 0.17nm for 852nm laser was obtained with the external Bragg grating at the reflectivity between 20% and 37 % and working temperature between 15 and 35 C. The external resonator efficiency is above 90%, which can be used in semiconductor laser pumped solid state laser and spectroscopy, etc.
