中文摘要: 气相团簇结构和反应特性研究能够帮助从原子、分子层次理解非均相催化的机理。铂族金属催化剂能够催化CO与N2O或O2的反应,因此之前的气相研究关注铂族金属离子或铂族金属团簇与上述小分子的反应特性。但这类研究无法考虑真实催化体系中氧化物载体的影响。本项目拟采用激光溅射方法产生同时包含铂族金属成分以及载体氧化物成分的复合团簇体系,包括钌、铑、钯、锇、铱、铂六种金属分别与镁、铝、硅的氧化物形成的团簇离子;利用可控温的离子阱装置研究这些团簇离子分别与CO、N2O或O2反应以及其参与CO催化氧化的特性;利用负离子的光电子能谱和量子化学计算研究这些复合团簇离子的结构和价键特征;进一步结合上述实验信息,利用量子化学计算研究特定结构、价键的复合团簇离子在催化循环中的作用机理。这些研究将帮助阐明非均相催化体系中包含载体在内的微观结构、价键和活性间的规律,为改进现有催化剂的性能和发展新型催化剂提供理论基础。

英文摘要: Studies on the structures and the reactivity of gas-phase clusters help to understand the mechanisms of heterogeneous catalysis on atomic or molecular level. Catalysts containing platinum group metals play important roles in the reactions of CO with N2O or O2. The studies on gas-phase reactions attended by platinum group metal ions or clusters were carried out to understand the catalytic mechanisms in condensed phase. However, these studies did not involve the crucial effects of carrier oxides in real heterogeneous catalysts. In this project, the composite clusters containing both platinum group metal component and carrier oxide component will be generated using laser vaporization method. Their reactions with CO, N2O or O2 and the catalytic oxidation of CO with N2O or O2 on these clusters will be studied using temperature-controlled rf-trap. The structures and the bonding patterns of these clusters will be studied using photoelectron spectroscopy and theoretical calculations. Theoretical calculations will also be used to cast light on the catalytic mechanisms of the composite clusters with typical structures and bonding patterns. These studies will reveal the laws between the micro structures or bonding patterns in real heterogeneous catalysis and their catalytic properties. The results will also provide theoret
