中文摘要: 小尺寸、高重频光纤锁模激光器在宽带光通信、激光光谱分析、精密激光测量等方面具有潜在的优势,是未来光纤激光器的重要发展方向之一。如何进一步减小激光器的腔长和整体尺寸,在较低腔模功率下实现激光锁模输出,从而提高本征重复频率,是目前需要解决的关键科学问题和主要技术难题。本项目提出超小型高重频石墨烯锁模微纳光纤激光器的研究设想,结合微纳光纤微环激光器、光纤表面等离激元高效激发和强约束场增强,以及石墨烯复合微纳光纤结构的低饱和吸收阈值特性,实现腔长为毫米尺寸、本征重频高于10GHz的新型光纤激光器。研究结果对于高重频光纤激光器、高速光信息处理技术及相关器件的研究和应用均具有重要意义。

英文摘要: As one of the of future directions of fiber lasers, miniaturized high- repetition-rate graphene mode-lock microfiber lasers are highly potential for applications including broadband optical communications,laser spectroscopy and laser metrology. The main issues and challenges faced are reducing the overall size and cavity length of the laser, while maintaining the mode-locking conditions for high-repetition-rate output. In this project, we propose to develop a miniaturized high- repetition-rate graphene mode-lock microfiber laser. By combining the merits of microfiber ring lasers, surface plasmon induced highly localized field enhancement and staurable absorption of graphene-coated microfibers, we aim to realize a novel fiber laser with millimeter-level cavity size and over 10-GHz repetition rate. The outcome of the project is of great importance to the studies and applications of high- repetition-rate fiber lasers and high-speed optical signal processing.
