中文摘要: 理论分析了在同位素氘及18O作用下共掺Tm3+、Ho3+、Tb3+和Ga3+、Al3+、Bi3+的石英基光纤中Tm3+、Ho3+的辐射特性及Tb3+在1800nm波段的吸收特性,得出适于18O光纤(1730~1760nm, 位于L++波段)具有辐射特性的泵浦激光器工作波长。分析并利用二次泵浦机理及稀土离子Ho3+、Tb3+与Tm3+的共掺特性,提高光纤对泵浦激光的吸收效率。结合18O光纤的衰耗谱及给定的中继段距离,设计出在18O光纤低损耗窗口(1730~1760nm)具有增益平坦特性的Tm3+、Ho3+共掺光纤制作工艺。利用湿法在线掺杂工艺,制作出氘及18O作用下共掺Tm3+、Ho3+、Tb3+和Ga3+、Al3+、Bi3+的石英基光纤。根据测得的吸收谱、荧光谱及几何特性参数,进一步优化氘及18O作用下Tm3+、Ho3+、Tb3+和Ga3+、Al3+、Bi3+的掺杂浓度,研制出1730~1760nm范围内增益平坦的Tm3+:Ho3+共掺石英基光纤放大器。

英文摘要: The emission features of Tm3+ and Ho3+ ions and the absorption characteristics of Tb3+ ions at the wavelengths around 1800 nm in the Tm3+/Ho3+/Tb3+/Ga3+/Al3+/Bi3+ ions co-doped silica fiber are analysed theoretically under the influence of deuterium and 18O,and the operating wavelength range of pump laser suited for 18O fiber(1730~1760nm,L-band) is also proposed. The second-pump mechanism and the features of Ho3+/Tb3+/Tm3+ co-doping, which can be used to improve the absorption efficiency of the pump laser, are analysed. Combined with the attenuation spectrum of 18O fiber and the given repeater spacing, the fabrication process of Tm3+/Ho3+ co-doped fiber with gain flatness at the low-loss window(1730~1760nm) of 18O fiber has been designed. Using the on-line doping method, the Tm3+/Ho3+/Tb3+/Ga3+/Al3+/Bi3+ co-doped silica fiber has been fabricated using the MCVD equipment under the influence of deuterium and 18O. According to the measured absorption spectra, fluorescence spectra and the geometry parameters, the doping concentration of Tm3+/Ho3+/Tb3+/Ga3+/Al3+/Bi3+ under the influence of deuterium and 18O are further optimized.
