中文摘要: 自1961年Fano谐振被发现以来,它已经成为描述相互作用的量子体系最重要的性质之一。新型人工电磁材料中Fano谐振在传感、开关、非线性、慢光、有源器件等方面的潜在应用使其受到了研究者的重视。本项目旨在研究新型人工电磁材料的Fano谐振,开展其电磁场局域增强效应的理论与实验研究,并设计基于Fano谐振的交叉偏振滤波器。设计多种正、负结构低损耗的新型人工电磁材料,研究Fano谐振的可调谐性。利用有限元数值模拟法给出新型人工电磁材料的空间电磁场分布,重点研究电磁场局域增强现象,完成相应的实验测试。提供交叉偏振滤波器的设计方案,给出理论与实验测试结果。本项目探索Fano新型人工电磁材料的电磁场局域增强现象,对揭示Fano型人工电磁材料结构单元之间的相互作用具有一定的科学研究价值。实现Fano型交叉偏振滤波器件也将促进新型人工电磁材料功能器件的实用化。

英文摘要: The asymmetric Fano resonance has been known as a characteristic feature of interacting quantum systems since it was found in 1961. Fano resonances found in metamaterials have received much attentin due to their potential applications in sensors, switching, nonlinear, slow light and active devices. In this project, Fano resonances in metamaterials are studies and local field enhancement is investigated theoretically and experimentally, then crossed polarization filter is achieved. We will design positive and negative metamaterials with low losses and investigate tunability of Fano resonances. By use of the finite element method, the electromagnetic field distributions are presented and local field enhancement is emphasized, and the corresponding measurements will be completed. We will propose a scheme of crossed polarization filter and present both theoretical and experimental results. The project has scientific importance to understand interaction between the molecules in Fano-type metamaterials since we investigate local electromagnetic field enhancement of Fano resonance. The studies on Fano-type crossed polarization filer will accelerate practical applictions of metamaterial-based devices.
