中文摘要: 应用系统生物学探明植物中木质纤维生物合成的代谢网络,可为通过木质素工程学策略来提高木质纤维素的生物质品质,以最终降低加工处理生物燃料和其他生物质产品的成本并减少污染。 代谢网络的研究是一个新热点,通过代谢网络与其他生化数据、分析方法相结合,深入分析和解释网络结构与功能之间的关系,结构和功能与酶的进化之间的关系,代谢流与基因表达的关系等,有助于理解细胞的行为和生命现象。为今后生物体代谢和进化的研究和分析,使得人们更好地了解代谢过程,针对性地进行改造,具有重要的现实意义。 本项目以我国长江中下游特产具有优势特色的作物苎麻为材料,集成研究其木质纤维形成关键代谢网络,探明与代谢产物的积累相关的功能基因表达情况,掌握纤维素、非纤维素多糖、相关含糖基的生物活性物质之间代谢网络关系,从而为木质纤维代谢的控制和改造过程奠定基础,为基因工程育种工作提供依据。

英文摘要: Systems biology is applied to explore metabolic network of wood fiber biosynthesis in plants by improving lignocellulose biological quality with the ultimate purposes of biofuel reduction in processing and disposing, cost saving and pollution reduction. Cell behavior and biological phenomena can be comprehended better with the study on metabolic network through analyzing biochemical data, exploring the relations between structure and function of metabolic network, between the structure and function and enzyme evolution, and between metabolic flow and gene expression.This study lays the foundation for the research of biological metabolism and evolution, which practical significance lies in being better acquainted with metabolic process and purposeful modification. This project uses Boehmeria nivea(Linn.) Gand., a special local crop in the middle and lower Yangtze River, as experimental material to study the functional gene expression of metabolic network in wood fiber formation and the closely related functional genes in the accumulation of metabolites, and knows well the metabolic network relations between fiber, non-cellulosic polysaccharides and glycosyl bioactivators, which provides the basis for genetic engineering breeding on account of metabolic network system analysis.
