中文摘要: 近年来,在纳米光学领域大量的研究工作集中在光子晶体和超材料,以达到控制和操纵光子的运动。等离子体的光学参数(比如:折射率等)可以用外界可调控的因素加以控制,因此较之一般的介质材料,在纳米光学器件的可调谐和可调控上面,等离子体具有无可比拟的优越性。本项目的目的是探讨作为一个可以呈现正/负折射电磁介质的等离子体在光子晶体和复合超材料当中的应用,并开展以下三个方面的研究:(1)研究混合等离子体光子晶体,从而揭示光子晶体正和负折射现象,且此现象可以通过调控等离子体的开和关来实现;(2)研究等离子体超材料,采用等离子体来实现负折射现象;(3)研究等离子体在光子晶体和复合超材料中的非线性现象以及模转换现象。从上述三方面出发,采用转移矩阵法和时域有限差分法探讨和揭示等离子体在光子晶体和复合超材料中的应用,从而增强等离子体在光子晶体和复合超材料中可调谐和可调控的概念。

英文摘要: In recent years, many researches are focused on photonic crystals and metamaterials in area of nano optics due to control and manuipate the movement of photo.The optical properties of plasma (such as the refractive inedx)can be tunned by the external parameters. Therefore, comparing with other dieledtric materials, plasma has significantly advantange in the area of tunning and controlling the optical properties of nano optics. The project is aimed at presenting the possible applications of plasma as a medium of postitive and negative refraction of electromagnetic waves in photonic crystals and composite metamaterials and carry out the following three reasearches: (1)In the refrence photonic crystals,study is conducted on hybid plasma photonic crystals, which reveals that positive and negative refraction can be achieved by switching on and off the plasma; (2)In another approach, this project brings models to achieve negative refraction by using plasma. In the two case, study the nonlinear effects and mode conversion in plasma photonic crystals and composite metamaterials.(3) From the aboved there aspects, we discuess and reveal the applications of plasma in photonic crystals and composite metamateriasl,and invoke the concept that plasma can be used to enhance the tunability and controllability of photonic crystal
