中文摘要: 本项目主要研究锂离子电池镍钴锰层状正极材料的热力学性质。采用第一性原理线性响应的方法,计算层状一元、二元和三元正极材料的晶格振动的声子频率,得出其声子色散和声子态密度,然后根据热力学模型计算出层状正极材料的自由能、熵及热容等参数随温度的变化情况,以此分析这些材料的热力学性质随温度的变化趋势,从中找出变化规律。另外,通过晶格动力学方法研究层状正极材料表面相变以及表面和体相结构脱锂过程的热力学性质。我们的研究将为设计和优化实际应用中的高性能层状正极材料提供必要的理论依据。

英文摘要: This project is aiming at studying the thermodynamic properties of Ni-Co-Mn layered cathode materials for lithium-ion battery. By using first-principles linear response methods, we will calculate the phonon frequencies of lattice vibrations for single, binary and ternary layered cathode materials, as well as phonon dispersion and phonon density of states. According to thermodynamic theoretical model, the thermodynamic parameters, such as free energy, entropy and heat capacity, are obtained. The relationship between these parameters and temperature can also be deduced. Besides, by using lattice dynamics methods, the phase transition of the surface for layered cathode materials, and the thermodynamics of delithiation progress for surface and bulk structure are studied in this project. Our results provide the theoretical basis for designing and optimizing the high performance layered cathode materials.
