中文摘要: 三价镨离子(Pr3+)在可见光波段具有丰富的谱线,是直接获得可见激光输出理想的稀土离子之一,然而受制于可见光泵浦源的发展滞后和激光晶体生长周期、光学质量的限制,时至今日Pr3+可见光激光器并未得到长足的发展。本项目利用上转换技术来获得可见激光输出。基于掺Pr3+和Pr3+/Yb3+共掺的YAG激光陶瓷,开展能级跃迁的上转换机理及上转换激光的实验研究。通过光谱测量的手段,获得Pr3+在YAG激光陶瓷中的能级信息,并用于分析能级跃迁的上转换机理。在不同上转换机理下建立上转换蓝光跃迁的三能级速率方程,确定实现上转换激光输出的最佳泵浦方案,用于指导并获得上转换蓝光激光输出,并进一步探索新型的掺Pr3+和Pr3+/Yb3+共掺的YAG激光陶瓷在上转换激光材料方面的发展潜力。

英文摘要: Trivalent praseodymium (Pr3 +) ions presents various visible spectral features, which is indicated that it’s one of the ideal rare earth ions which can produce visible laser directly. However, due to the lack of visible laser pump sources, the limitation of laser crystal growth-cycle and optical quality, visible laser based on Pr3+ has not gotten rapidly development today. In this project, upconversion technology is used to produce visible laser directly. Upconversion mechanism of energy-level transition and experiments of upconversion laser are studied based on Pr3+ and Pr3+/Yb3+ doped YAG laser ceramics. By means of spectrum measurement, the energy-level of Pr3+ in YAG laser ceramic are obtained, which can be used to analyze the upconversion mechanism of energy-level transition. The three-energy-level rate equation of upconversion blue laser transition is established under different upconversion mechanism. The simulation results are used to determine the optimal pumping scheme for conversion laser and guided the experiments of the upconversion blue laser. The potential of Pr3+ and Pr3+/Yb3+ doped YAG laser ceramics as a new upconversion laser material is explored further.
