英文摘要: The proposed research is in the area of N-heterocyclic carbene IVB metal organometalic chemistry and olefins polymerization catalysis. A kind of novel 'Salen'-like tetradentate auxiliary ligands is designed by modifying the trans-1, 2- bridged bis-N-heterocyclic carbene moieties with aryloxides groups. The objectives of this program are to (a) explore the synthesis and catalytic application in olefin polymerization of obtained IVB-NHC complexes, (b) unravel their spectrum properties, crystal structures, reactivity and catalysts' structure-activity relationship, and (c) further reveal the coordination bonding conditions, laws, structure features and catalytic mechanism of these 'Salen'-like IVB metal compounds. The study has a very important significance for the synthesis, development and utilization of such metal carbine compound and may lay the foundation for seeking novel olefins polymerization catalytic systems with high activity, high selectivity in the future.
