中文摘要: 目前,Dirac费米子材料已成为凝聚态学科及相关领域的热点研究对象。典型的Dirac费米子材料包括石墨烯、拓扑绝缘体、Weyl半金属等。不同于传统材料,Dirac费米子材料的低能电子遵从相对论量子力学的Dirac方程。受此特殊电子结构支配,该类材料中两局域磁矩间的 RKKY相互作用具有许多奇特的性质,且不同类型的Dirac费米子材料的RKKY相互作用性质也迥然不同。本课题拟对各类拓扑绝缘体、Weyl半金属及基于拓扑绝缘体材料的异质结或超晶格等Dirac费米子材料中的RKKY相互作用开展理论研究。全面揭示此类材料中RKKY相互作用的基本物理规律。研究RKKY相互作用与电子拓扑性质的相互影响。探索晶格应变场、外加电场、温度、材料的尺寸等实验手段对各类Dirac费米子材料中RKKY相互作用的调控。基于研究结果筛选利用此类材料的RKKY相互作用实现器件功能的物理模型,为相关实验研究提供理论信息。

英文摘要: So far, Dirac fermion materials, including graphene, topological insulators, Weyl semi-metals and so on, are attracted extensive attentions in condensed matter physics and the relevant fields. Their low-energy fermionic excitations obey the Dirac equation of relativistic quantum mechanics, which is different from those of traditional materials. Therefore, the RKKY interaction between two local magnetic moments in different Dirac fermion materials will present many unique properties, distinctly different among these materials. In this project, we will focus on the RKKY interactions in Dirac fermion materials such as topological insulators, Weyl semi-metals, and heterostructures or superlattice structures fabricated from topological insulators, etc. Our study is aiming at uncovering the basic physical features of the RKKY interaction, in particular, clarifying the interplay between the RKKY interaction and electronic topological properties in these Dirac fermion materials. Furthermore, we will investigate the response of the RKKY interactions to the experiment conditions such as lattice strain field, electric field, temperature, size of material and so on. Based on the above results and in order to guide the experimental researches, we can propose some feasible device models made use of the RKKY interactions in Dirac fermion materials.
