中文摘要: 助催化剂对光催化材料分解水产氢活性的增强起到了非常重要的作用,然而传统的助催化剂多是贵金属,大大限制了其实际的应用。因此,采用地球上丰富廉价的元素设计和制备一些高效助催化剂来替代贵金属已成为光催化产氢领域的研究热点和前沿科学。项目提出通过原位沉积、离子交换、浸渍-煅烧、表面生长等方法在本体光催化材料(如金属硫化物、TiO2和C3N4等)表面负载单元或双元非贵金属助催化剂,研究非贵金属助催化剂的化学组成、形貌结构、尺寸大小、相结构等对产氢活性的影响;并详细分析光催化体系中光生电子和空穴的寿命和迁移效率,结合光催化稳定性的研究,进一步揭示非贵金属助催化剂在整个光催化体系中的作用,提出可能存在的活性增强机理。本研究将丰富高效非贵金属助催化剂的制备方法和科学,促进其在光催化产氢中的应用。

英文摘要: Cocatalysts play a significant role in improving the photocatalytic H2-production activity of semiconductor photocatalysts, however, most of the developed photocatalyst systems utilized noble-metal-based cocatalysts to achieve high photocatalytic activity. Unfortunately, these noble-metal based cocatalysts are too scare and expensive to be used for large-scale energy production. Therefore, rational design and preparation of efficient cocatalysts with earth-abundant elements has become the research hotspot in the field of photocatalytic water splitting. This project will mainly focus on the controllable preparation of noble metal-free cocatalysts modified photocatalyst materials (e.g. metal sulfides, TiO2, C3N4) by in-situ deposition, ion-exchange, dip-calcination and surface growth methods. The effects of chemical composition, morphology, structure, particle size and phase of the prepared noble-metal cocatalysts on photocatalytic H2-production activity will be investigated. Furthermore, on the base of the stability and the rule of transfer and separation of photogenerated electrons and holes, the possible mechanism in enhancing photocatalytic H2-produciton activity will be carefully discussed. This investigation will provide new insight into the design and fabrication of advanced noble metal-free cocatalysts and enhance their application in photocatalytic hydrogen production.
