中文摘要: 由于燃料电池阴极缓慢的氧气还原反应是限制燃料电池性能的主要因素,Pt基催化剂的研究与开发引起广泛关注。为了设计与开发非过渡族金属元素掺杂Pt基合金催化剂,本项目拟提出以主族元素掺杂Pt基材料构建氧气还原反应催化剂体系。基于第一原理计算,本项目旨在研究以主族元素掺杂Pt基材料催化氧气还原反应的机理与活性。以主族元素的p轨道电子数目以及能级两方面作为变量,探索p-d轨道相互作用对Pt催化活性的影响,为新型催化剂体系的构建提供理论依据。在此基础上,以晶面结构为变量,探索新型Pt基催化剂晶面结构与催化活性之间的关系,以便于构建新型Pt基催化剂的纳米结构形态。

英文摘要: Since the sluggish kinetics of the oxygen reduction reaction at the cathode is one of primary obstacles limiting the performance of fuel cells, the design of high performance cathode catalyst has attracted great attention. In order to escape the transition metal element doped platinum materials, this work intends to propose an innovative principle to design oxygen reduction reaction catalyst: the main group element doped platinum materials. Based on first principles calculations, the influences of the electronic filling and energy level of p orbitals on the oxygen reduction reaction mechanisms and activity will be investigated systemically. Once the best doping element is selected, the relationship between the oxygen reduction reaction activity and the surface structure of the doped Pt materials will be determined. The success of this work will make a significant contribution to the rational design the novel Pt-based catalysts and tuning their catalytic properties for oxygen reduction reactions.
