中文摘要: 青藏高原热力作用显著地影响东亚夏季风和季风降水。春夏季土壤湿度对高原热源有重要影响:土壤湿度改变地表反射率,从而影响吸收太阳辐射;同时,把陆面获得的净辐射分割为感热和潜热;其中,陆面感热通量是高原热源的主要组成部分。但是,由于土壤湿度观测数据不足,学术界对土壤湿度的热力效应及其对东亚夏季风和季风降水的影响仍然缺乏研究。本项研究拟利用高质量的土壤湿度遥感数据,综合利用诊断分析和数值模拟两种手段,研究青藏高原春夏季土壤湿度的热力效应,及其对东亚夏季风和季风降水的影响机制。具体包括三个方面:(1)优化现有多源卫星资料,建立全国最近20+年(1988-2008)土壤湿度数据库;(2)诊断分析青藏高原春夏季土壤湿度的热力效应,及其与东亚夏季风环流和季风降水的关系;(3)以土壤湿度遥感数据驱动区域气候模式进行敏感性实验,揭示土壤湿度异常通过热力效应影响东亚夏季风和季风降水的具体过程和物理机制。

英文摘要: The thermal effect of Tibet Plateau significantly affects the East Asian summer monsoon and associated precipitation. The spring-summertime soil moisture contributes much to the heat source of Tibet Plateau: it affects the absorption of solar radiation of land surface by altering land surface albedo; and meanwhile, it partitions the available net radiation into latent heat flux and sensible heat flux, of which the latter is the largest component for the heat source of Tibet Plateau. However, due the high lack of soil moisture observations, our understanding of the thermal effect of soil moisture and its influences on East Asian summer monsoon as well as the associated precipitation remains limited. Based on satellite soil moisture observations, we are to investigate the thermal effect of spring-summertime soil moisture on the East Asian summer monsoon using both statistical and numerical approaches. It includes three aspects: 1) we are to optimize two existing satellite soil moisture data so as to build a gap-free high quality soil moisture database covering the whole China; 2) using the optimized soil moisture database, we are to statistically study the thermal effect of spring-summertime soil moisture, as well as it its influences on the East Asian summer monsoon and the associated summer precipitation; 3) a r
