中文摘要: 研究氧化物与氧化物之间的界面原子重构和电子重构等界面耦合行为具有很大的物理意义和应用前景。本项目拟利用北京同步辐射装置的光电子能谱实验站的原位生长和表征设备,在半导体ZnO的不同表面衬底上分子束外延生长NiO薄膜,并通过原位地、逐层地表征光电子能谱以及相关的能谱数学模型反演获得ZnO-NiO界面的电子态结构;通过自旋分辨的光电子能谱对所生长的NiO薄膜进行半金属特性的研究。该项目的开展丰富有望氧化物与氧化物之间的界面物理理论,为半导体自旋电子器件设计提供指南,并进一步拓展和完善基于表面光电子能谱探测界面电子态结构的技术方法。

英文摘要: The study of interface coupling between metal oxides including their interfacial atomic reconstruction and electronic reconstruction is important for physics theories as well as for technical applications. This project proposes to grow NiO thin films using molecular beam epitaxy on different surfaces of ZnO substrates in the photoemission station of Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Facility and uses their in-situ equipments to capture the photoemission of NiO layer by layer. The NiO-ZnO interfacial electronic states are them expected to be revealed by combining the photoemission models. The grown NiO will also be examined by spin-resolved photoemission for their “half-metallic” properties. This project aims to enrich the interface physics between metal oxides, to provide theoretical guide for spintronics based on semiconductors and to further develop the techniques of detecting the buried interfacial electronic states by surface-sensitive photoemission.
