Power electronics converting techniques are widely employed in emerging distributed power system, where sources and loads are strong coupling and dynamic responses between them are complex. The existing small signal modeling techniques and input/output impedance methodology is sufficient to support stability analysis of dc subsystems. However, interaction issues between dc & ac subsystems and in bidirectional power flow field still need further investigation. Through prior research work done by the applicant, two-port network model including input/output impedance and current back gain is the key factor in interaction issue study. This project focuses on current back gain model of dc/dc converters, input/output impedance of a single phase ac power supply and averaged PWM switched model of an isolated bidirectional dc/dc converter. It would clarify the interaction mechanism of stability, harmonic analysis in ac & dc hybrid systems and those with bidirectional power flow application. The research would also provide theoretical basis for systematical analysis of ac & dc power electronics hybrid systems. This method is of important theoretical significance and practical value to develop reliable, stable, distributed power system.
