中文摘要: 甚长基线干涉测量(VLBI)是重要的射电天文技术,具有极高的空间分辨率,是国际上广泛采用的深空探测器高精度测量手段,相关处理机是VLBI的核心数据预处理设备,是复杂的高速信号处理系统。长期以来,受复杂和昂贵的数字化部件限制,硬件相关处理机无法完成高分辨率的实时相关处理。近年来,随着现场可编程门阵列(FPGA)技术的发展,出现了很多以FPGA芯片组成的高性能数字信号处理平台,其中Uniboard 是欧洲VLBI联合研究所(JIVE)已经开发完成作为下一代相关处理机硬件平台的高性能处理单元。本项目计划在Uniboard平台上进行高分辨率实时相关处理算法研究。为设计、研制基于多FPGA芯片的高性价比、小型化、低能耗的下一代硬件相关处理机提供经验。并开展应用目标为谱线VLBI、脉冲星和深空探测数据处理技术研究。

英文摘要: Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) is an important radio astronomy technology, it has high spatial resolution, is widely used in deep space probes high-precision measurements, the correlator is the VLBI core data pre-processing equipment, is a complex high-speed signal processing system. For a long time, due to the complex and expensive digital components limits, hardware correlator was unable to complete the high-resolution real-time correlation process. In recent years, with the development of the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology, a lot of high-performance digital signal processing platforms based on FPGA chip have appear, Uniboard is one of the high-performance processing platform which is developed by the Joint Institute for VLBI in European (JIVE) for the next generation hardware correlator. The project plan to study high-resolution real-time processing algorithm based on Uniboard platform, and get experience for designing the cost-effective low-power next-generation hardware correlator. The project also plan to research the spectral line VLBI, pulsar and deep space exploration data processing technology.
