中文摘要: 在基于Wyner-Ziv分布式编码的无线视频通信系统中,准确地对端到端失真度进行估算是保障通信质量,提升系统性能及优化资源配置所需解决的关键性问题。目前,建立精确的基于Wyner-Ziv分布式编码的无线视频通信端到端失真度估算模型仍然是一个研究挑战,同时也缺少针对无线终端功耗受限条件下在线估算端到端失真的可行方法。本项目拟采取理论分析与实验仿真验证的方法,精确地建立基于Wyner-Ziv分布式编码的无线视频通信端到端失真度估算模型,并设计出无线终端功耗受限条件下在线估算端到端失真度的算法,为多摄像头无线视频监控、手持移动视频通信以及无线视频传感器网络等视频通信应用中系统参数设置、差错控制和资源优化等提供重要的理论基础和方法。

英文摘要: Accurate estimating end-to-end distortion of wireless video communication based on Wyner-Ziv distributed coding is very significant for guaranteeing communication quality, improving system performances, and performing optimal system resource allocation. Unfortunately, to modeling end-to-end distortion accurately is still a challenge. Moreover, seldom practical methods have been proposed for online end-to-end distortion estimation under the constraint of power consumption on mobile devices. In this project, the above mentioned issues will be studied by using theoretical analysis and experimental verification. The main purpose of the project is to present an accurate end-to-end distortion estimation model of video communication over wireless channel based on Wyner-Ziv distributed coding and an online estimation method that can be implemented on the mobile devices with limited power consumption. The estimation model and online method will be employed to video communication systems such as multi-cameras wireless video surveillance, handheld mobile video communication and wireless video sensor networks for setting optimal system parameters, allocating system resources, and perform error control.
