中文摘要: 近年来BiFeO3 因其室温下的多铁(铁电,反铁磁)性质和强关联电子结构颇受研究者的亲睐,尤其是BiFeO3薄膜及异质结的工作。我们将用薄膜光学检测的方法,深入研究BiFeO3薄膜及异质结的电光、磁光效应和应力调控,主要内容包括:(1)BiFeO3薄膜/金属异质结和纳米等离子体激元器件的光共振和电场调控;(2)BiFeO3薄膜/金属异质结构和基于BiFeO3薄膜的F-P谐振腔的光共振受磁场的影响;(3)应力对BiFeO3薄膜及异质结构光学性质的调控。研究目标是:掌握电场、磁场、应力对其光学性质的影响规律,揭示其物理本质和能量耦合行为,实现大的电光效应、磁光效应和应力调控,探索其在电光调制器、光开关和存储器中的应用。该项目既能加深对BiFeO3这一多铁强关联体系的认识,又能拓展其在光学元器件方面的应用,具有重要的理论和现实意义。

英文摘要: Recently BiFeO3 has attracted much attention due to its multiferroic properties (ferroelectric and antiferromagnetic) and strong correlated electron system, especially the work BiFeO3 thin film and heterostructures. In this project, we will focus on the electro-optic, magneto-optic effects and strain modulation in BiFeO3 film and heterostructures. The main contents are as following: (1) Electric field effects on the optical resonance spectroscopy of BiFeO3/metal heterostructures and nano plasmonic devices; (2) Magnetic field effects on the optical resonance spectroscopy of BiFeO3/metal heterostructures and BiFeO3 film based F-P cavity; (3) Strain modulation on the optical properties of BiFeO3 film and heterostructures. The objective of project is to understand how the electric field, magnetic field and strain affect the spectroscopy, to get the physical reason for coupling of different freedom, achieve strong electric-optic, magnetic-optic effects and strain modulation, and explore its application in optical devices. This work is significant for basic research as well as for application.
