中文摘要: 为了感知飞行航路上的各种危害气象,民航飞机一般会装备机载前视气象雷达。但现有机载气象雷达不能有效地检测强杂波背景下的低空风切变和低信噪比的湍流,并且不能区分降水类型。多极化和相控阵能够提供气象目标的多维度特征,国外已着手研究利用多极化和相控阵体制实现增强型的气象目标检测技术。本项目重点研究机载前视气象雷达增强型目标检测所面临的技术难题,研究内容包括强杂波背景下的低空风切变检测、低信噪比的湍流检测和增强型降水目标检测等。机载气象雷达是一个涉及机载雷达、气象学、空气动力学、航空电子系统等多学科交叉的领域。本项目的研究不仅能推动机载气象雷达相关理论和技术的发展,有关成果还可以为国产化机载气象雷达、军机气象雷达和机载气象雷达维修测试设备等的研制提供技术支撑。

英文摘要: Airborne forward-looking weather radar (WXR) is absolutely necessary and recommendedly installed for all civil airplanes, which can be used to detect the hazardous area. However, the windshear with presence of stronger clutter and the turbulent with low SNR can't be effectively detected by current WXR, and also the precipitation types can't be classified. Radar with polarization and phased array can indicate the multi-dimensional characteristics of the meteorological phenomena in depth. The polarimetry and phased array have been used to acquire enhanced situational awareness abroad. In this project, the key techniques to enhance the performance of WXR with polarimetry and phased array will be developed, and the research contents include windshear detection with the condition of stronger clutter, adaptive turbulent detection with low SNR and advanced precipitation detection. WXR is a high degree of integration of multidisciplinary cross-cutting areas, covering the airborne radar, meteorology, aerodynamics and avionics. The project will promote the development of the theory and techniques related to WXR. In addition, the research will be helpful for the manufacture development of the domestic and military WXR, onboard radar maintenance equipment.
