Catalytic performance of reducible oxide supported gold catalysis material intimately depends on the property and structure of the Au-support interface. The clear correlation between the fine interface structure and the catalytic performance is a key issue to understand the intrinsic nature of the unique catalysis properties of gold catalysis and has been one of the hottest topics in heterogeneous gold catalysis. However, it is also a grand challenge because of the complexity and variability of the Au-support interface in practical working circumstances. Nowadays, the controllable fabrication of material can be achieved on molecular, or even atomic, level due to the development of nanotechnology. Therefore it is facile to prepare the specific interface holding simplified structure. Meanwhile the significant development of various in situ characterization methods, especially the Environmental Transmission Electron Microscope(ETEM), has provide a great potential for observing the changes of the interface structure and deducing the chemical mechanism in operational conditions. So this proposal is planned to analyze the structure-activity relationship of the Au-support interface taking CeO2, TiO2 and Fe2O3 as supporting material together with CO oxidation, low-temperature water gas shift reaction and methanol/ethano
