中文摘要: 随着新型网络业务的不断涌现和网络用户的持续增长,宽带光接入网络的支持用户数、接入速率和传输距离都面临巨大的挑战。当前基于时波分复用的无源光网络技术将无法满足未来的接入总容量、功率预算和灵活度需求。本课题拟将相干光理论应用于无源光网络,提出基于相干检测技术的无源光网络概念,并且针对无源光网络的低成本、低复杂度和兼容性需求,开展低成本、低复杂度相干无源光网络基础理论与关键技术研究。本课题重点研究相干无源光网络系统方案与调度策略、光网络单元和光线路终端相干模块的设计,建立相干无源光网络系统线性与非线性损伤模型,进行数字相干信号处理算法设计与优化,最终搭建相干无源光网络演示平台,支持更高的功率预算、更大的汇聚容量与更广的覆盖范围,为低成本、低复杂度的下一代相干无源光网络发展与应用提供理论与技术支持。

英文摘要: With the emergence of novel network business and continued increase of network users, the supported number of users, individual access speed and the supported range of broadband optical access network face huge challenges. Current passive optical network (PON) technologies based on time- and wavelength-division multiplexing technology are unable to meet the demands of future access capacity, flexibility and power budget. In this project, we are to apply the optical coherent theory in the passive optical network, proposing the concept of coherent-PON. We will investigate the fundamental theories and key technologies of coherent-PON to meet the demand of low cost, low complexity and compatibility of the passive optical networks. The project is to focus on finding the solutions of coherent-PON system and the scheduling strategy, designing the coherent modules of the optical network unit (ONU) and optical line terminal (OLT), building the linear and non-linear impairment model of the coherent-PON system, designing and optimizing the digital-signal-processing (DSP) algorithms. Finally, the researchers aim to build a coherent-PON platform to demonstrate the ability of achieving higher power budget, aggregated capacity and coverage, thus to provide theoretical and technical support for the next generation coherent-PON with ultra-low cost and complexity.
