中文摘要: 当前无线热点网(Wi-Fi)中,经常有很多接入点,但是用户很少能做到最优接入。用户体验低的主要原因是网络中发生各种形式的自私和不公平行为:有些用户从自身利益出发过度占用带宽等网络资源,而用户选择AP时常常仅依靠AP信号的强弱进行AP选择造成AP间用户接入不平衡,用户接入AP后没有有效的接入控制机制,用户网络负载不均衡等等。因此,我们研究的指导思想是解决无线热点网各种不均衡现象和低效的竞争,真正达到网络的最大预期容量。本课题针对无线热点网的网络业务(traffic)的特点,如用户接入网络后可能会有自私行为占用大量带宽,用户间以及AP间网络流量负载不均衡,有针对性的提出具有贝叶斯均衡的AP选择模型和全局公平特性的AP接入控制模型,优化利用无线网络有限的资源;在无线网络日益普及的网络环境下,提供优化的无线热点网接入传输的理论及技术支撑。

英文摘要: In Wireless Local Area Networks, the main reasons causing the network congestion and low user experience are as follows. There are some selfish users which occupy too much bandwidth. The signal strength is the only metric for users to select APs which leads unbalanced load on the APs. There is no effective associate control mechanism to help user to get the balanced load. Therefore, our main contribution is solve the imbalanced load and ineffective competition in the WLAN. This project is based on the feature of the traffic in WLAN, such as selfish behavior of users and imbalanced load of APs, to propose AP selection mechanism which reaches Bayes Balance and global fairness of network. It provides the theoretical principle and technical support for selective access control in Wi-Fi hotspots with multiple access points in WLAN.
