中文摘要: 光纤-无线融合(FiWi)宽带接入网集成了光接入网的高带宽及无线接入网的灵活性等优势,是未来宽带接入极具前景的候选技术之一。然而,传统网络架构中光纤子网与无线子网各自独立的局部管控方式限制了光纤-无线融合网络的资源调度能力,已成为阻碍FiWi接入网发展的技术瓶颈。本项目主要研究虚拟化光纤-无线融合(Virtualized FiWi, V-FiWi)宽带接入网中资源调度机制,拟通过新兴的网络虚拟化技术为FiWi接入网的全局资源调度提供新的研究契机,围绕网络生存性、能效及QoS保证等热点问题提出创新性的理论和关键技术。主要研究内容包括:①面向全局优化资源调度的V-FiWi接入网架构设计;②可生存虚拟网络映射的资源调度机制研究;③能效虚拟网络映射的资源调度机制;④QoS感知虚拟网络映射的资源调度机制,目标是为虚拟化FiWi接入网未来的建设及我国“宽带中国”发展战略的实施提供必要的理论和技术储备。

英文摘要: Fiber-Wireless (FiWi) converged broadband access networks integrate the technological merits of optical access network such as high bandwidth and that of wireless access network such as flexibility. Thus, FiWi access networks have been widely acknowledged as one of the promising candidate solutions for future broadband access. However, the separated and local management of optical and wireless subnetworks inherent in the traditional FiWi architecture limits the capability of FiWi access networks in resource scheduling, which is becoming the technological bottleneck for the advance of FiWi access networks. In this project, we are engaged in the research on resource scheduling schemes in Virtualized FiWi (V-FiWi) access networks. By introducing the emerging network virtualization, we expect to provide the new research opportunities for FiWi access networks in the globally optimized resource scheduling. We aim to propose more innovative theories and techniques on survivability, energy-efficiency and QoS guarantee, all of which are the hottest technical issues in FiWi access networks. The research works in this project include: 1) Design of V-FiWi architecture for globally optimized resource scheduling; 2) Research on resource scheduling schemes for survivable virtualized network mapping; 3) Research on resource scheduling schemes for energy-efficient virtualized network mapping; 4) Research on resource scheduling schemes for QoS-aware virtualized network mapping. The goal of this project is to provide more theoretical and technical guidelines for the development of V-FiWi access network and the enforcement of national strategy “Broadband China” in future.
