中文摘要: 驾驶员意图辨识是现代汽车主动安全系统不可或缺的关键技术,对于从根本上解决日益严重的交通安全问题具有十分重要的意义。目前的算法缺乏对驾驶员眼动行为的准确刻画,也忽视了不同来源信息在时间上的交互作用。对此,本课题拟将行驶场景显著性特征与车内驾驶员眼动行为规律模型动态结合,构建有效的驾驶员意图辨识方法。基于申请人关于周边视觉信息表达方式和概率图模型的研究基础上,参考现有驾驶员行为分析成果,本课题采用概要统计量表示局部周边视觉信息,提出一种自顶向下显著图生成方法;分析驾驶员注视点动态分布规律,建立一种驾驶任务相关的视觉注意转移模型;基于隐条件随机场模型,提出一种具有特征选择和判别子结构学习能力的驾驶员意图辨识方法。本课题所提算法不仅能准确识别多种驾驶意图,并且对于眼动规律的强调使得安全系统能更加提前预测出驾驶员的行为,并对危险情况作出判断。该研究不仅具有鲜明的创新性,而且应用前景十分广阔。

英文摘要: Driver intent inference is one of the key techniques for developing vehicular active safety systems, and is vital for solving the growing traffic safety problems. Current methods lack the model to describe the law of driver eye movements, and ignore the dynamic interactions among information from disparate sources. In this case, this project combines the information from saliency regions in the traffic scene and gaze behavior in order to propose an effective algorithm for driver intent inference. Based on the applicant's previous work on the representation model of human peripheral vision and Probability Graphica Models, and the current works on driver behavior analysis, this project utilizes summary statistics to represent the information from peripheral vision, and proposes a top-down saliency map; analyses the law of gaze position distribution, proposes a task-relevant eye movement model; based on Hidden Conditional Random Fields model, proposes a driver intent inference algorithm, which can select distinguishing features and learn discriminative sub-structure automatically. The proposed algorithm can recognize multiple driving intents correctly. Moreover, it has significant temporal advantage as the contribution of eye movement.
