中文摘要: 网络编码技术能够大幅提高无线网络的吞吐量,并降低能耗。但现有的工作并没有针对无线多跳网络的汇播而提出新的网络编码理论和方案,也没有考虑无线多跳网络中广泛应用的周期性占空比机制对网络编码机会所造成的不利影响。为此,本课题将充分利用无线多跳网络汇播过程中普遍存在的汇聚型结构,寻求网络编码机会和增益,研究基于网络编码的新型无线多跳网络汇播机制。同时,为了协调网络编码与周期性占空比机制之间的矛盾,本课题拟研究节点间松散同步的工作/睡眠时序关系,并将采用跨层协作的方式,对基于网络编码的无线多跳网汇播机制和占空比机制进行联合优化。最终,将这些算法与机制进行整合,提出一套完整的基于网络编码的无线多跳网络汇播解决方案。本课题的研究将为无线多跳网络的高效汇播机制提供一种崭新的思路。研究成果将有效提升无线网络汇播的吞吐量和能量有效性,具有重要的理论意义和实际价值。

英文摘要: Network coding is a promising technology which can improve the network throughput and reduce the energy consumption. However, to the best of our knowledge, the issues of network coding for convergecast in wireless multi-hop networks still remain open. Furthermore, most of current works do not take it into consideration that the widely used periodic duty-cycle mechanism would impact negative effects on network coding opportunities. To this end, we attempt to investigate the mechanism of how the network coding can benefit the wireless multi-hop networks during convergecasting, and explore the network coding opportunities and gains as far as possible by exploiting the ubiquitous convergent structures organized during convergecasting in the network. To eliminate the negative effects on network coding opportunity caused by the periodic duty-cycle mechanism, a brand new conception of loose-synchronization which can be used to schedule the active/sleep cycle among neighboring nodes will be studied. And the proposed duty-cycle mechanism and network-coding-based convergecast scheme will be jointly optimized by means of cross-layer cooperation.
